Well, we're on lockdown again.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/nationno...ficer.html Wrote:A suspect remained at large Thursday afternoon on the campus of Virginia Tech after a police officer and at least one other person were shot dead, the university said.

During a traffic stop on campus, the suspect shot and killed a Virginia Tech police officer and then fled on foot through a nearby parking lot.

A second person was later found dead in that parking lot, the university said.

The university said the status of the shooter was unknown and the school remained on lockdown.

A university alert released after the shooting described the possible shooter as a white male wearing gray sweat pants, a gray hat with a neon green brim, a maroon hoodie and backpack.

Cops are all over the place here. Nobody knows where that guy is now.

That's bad. What did you see?
All I saw was a bunch of cop cars whizzing around. I was in my room when we were locked down and all I could see was a portion of the road that led to the area of both shootings and the access road to my quad. Cops were all over both. They were going down the road to try to catch the guy and (I assume) going in the access road to make sure nobody went in or out of the dorms. I didn't try leaving.
Any updates on this as in did they find the shooter? Sad stuff, sorry to hear this happened at your school... Sad
The guy shot himself shortly afterwards.
I don't like when they group the shooter(s) with the body count of the victims because they implies that they are victims. I believe that since they are perpetrators they shouldn't be considered victims. A real victim is someone who was just shopping, at school, or work, etc. or the cop trying to stop the chaos and not the person pulling the trigger. Granted it's sad when someone thinks that their life is so screwed up that they resort that those behaviors but I believe that everyone has a choice.
Pretty much everything (the vigils, memorials, etc.) here is focused on the officer who was killed.
