Technofyed

Hi to all,

I have the Sound card but it can't detected by the windows. Yesterday, I installed Windows in my PC. When I was installing the sound card driver, first time I had selected the wrong driver and completely installed the driver. Then I had removed the driver and I had tried to reinstall it but suddenly the sound card could not be detected by the system. I checked the sound card. It is properly fitted in to the PC. What's the problem ? I don't know anything about that. please help me.??

It's more than likely installing the wrong driver is what has caused this problem. Some drivers don't like to uninstall completely, and then the new drivers will not install. Are you sure the old driver is completely uninstalled. Did you restart the OS since uninstalling the old driver? I don't have any experience with Linux, so can't really help much more.

Please provide the following details :
What OS : (you said Windows, but is this XP, Vista, something else?)
What Brand & Model Sound Card :

Try driver cleaner.
