I have been accepted Early Decision to Virginia Tech! The application was binding, so that's where I'm going. I knew I wanted to go there and I actually didn't apply to any other schools. Saved me the application fees!
So does that mean that you can't go somewhere else or that they can't back out? Congrats anyway.
Go get you an expensive education so that you can (in theory) make a lot of money.
What you going for?
Electrical Engineeering.
It means I have to go there. I would go to Tech anyways, no matter what other offers I received.
Don't go shooting up the place...
What if you don't? What if you got a full scholarship to like MIT or somewhere like that? Hypothetically, what could/would they do?
They could and would let all of the other colleges know that I violated their honor code and most of the other schools wouldn't want me after that. A full ride to MIT would probably be enough, but I didn't even apply there. I was waiting to hear from Tech before I applied to MIT, etc (Yes, they were on the list).
I've never heard of a school doing it that way. What if hypothetically you for some reason couldn't start there next fall? Maybe if you had a family tragedy or something?
I would miss a few days of school.
Well don't go partying. Don't join a stupid frat either.
Trust me, I'm not the party type. You guys are kind of negative tonight.

We're not negative, the world is. We're just looking out for your best interest in the negative world.
Don't get brainwashed & join a cult.

Amen brother.

Not to mention frats. They are nothing but trouble.
Also what will look good on your resume would be field experiences while in school.

Between that and school there won't be any time for partying.
There better be some extra time for all those college girls Robert...

oh snap i'm going to VT too see you there in a couple of years wegner we can party together lol
Is that really where you're planning on going? If you do go, let me know and I'll show you around.

Gotta watch those sororities though. I never had any interest in either of those. Maybe its just me, but I thought that the entire practices around both are just stupid. Hanging out and partying is one thing, but to have those strict requirments and strange practices (at least as I see it) never turned me on. Why spend "rush week" following the every whim of those clubs merely because you want to join? I'm not one to succumb to peer pressure because of a popularity thing. Also I've heard of bad stuff happening at some of those greek club inaugurations. One thing that comes to mind is someone dying from alcohol
poisoning [yes there is such a thing] due to forced binge drinking.
I don't get them either. I don't plan on doing any of that.

Good for you. At least you have some sense of well being.

Personally I think of something like that as being demeaning of a person's character, unless they are just that kind of person. Does that make sense to anyone other than me.

yup planning on going to their business school for business management
When you get accepted, as I believe you will, get in touch with me and I can give you a tour.
