The name Devil May Cry 4 (DMC) brings back alot of memories for some, and I am definetly one of them. I have been playing this series for years and is still currently my favourite.

Devil May Cry 4 picks up in between the 1st and 2nd which may confuse some, if you were to play from start to finish you would have to play 3rd, 1st, 4th, and 2nd. Some people don't like this but I prefer it, it adds alot of depth to the series.

Devil May Cry 4 starts with a beautiful cut-scene involving the new charector Nero and is Girlfriend, Later the game starts to reveal Nero's true origins. This scene is smashed when Dante appears and slaughters everyone in the room and it's left to Nero to save the day but he inevitably losses. After this he is givin the task to hunt Dante Down.

Nero is the new Charector here and a very unwelcome one, but in my personal opinion it's a nice change and he isn't all that bad. He has alot of good combo's and his Devil Bringer adds a very cool element into the mix. His style is predictable but very stylish, the only thing I would say is that his overall charector lacks depth.

The levels are stunning and large, the graphics are exellent. The only downside is the levels seem to reapeat alot as you have alot of backtracking to do which can be very annoying. The game also has puzzles that if you have more than one brain cell then you shouldn't have a problem solving. The puzzles also take to much away from the action and I think it would be alot better to take them away all together.

The story is exellent and will keep you coming, they do reveal who Nero is in a very small way but if you have played the rest of the series then it's a given, The only thing is that the story is short and I would have liked it to cary on. Also if you are the type of persons who hates to have questions un-answered then this won't be for you. Personaly I love that as it lets me know there is going to be another installment.

Dante is also a playable charector but only for a petty 5 levels which is a big shame. Alot of people were woried that Nero Would replace Dante but it seems that all they do is big him up big style. They make Dante look like a god and I love it. Dante's Style is beautiful and deadly whith plenty to choose from, In game you can swith between SwordMaster, Trickster, RoyalGuard, and Gunslinger with an extra style which to me is the coolest power up in any game ever but you'll have to play the game to find that out.

The game has lots of unlockables and keeps you wanting more, also with over 5 difficulty modes you wont get bored, it would have been nice to have the option to play ass Dante through the hole game but in this case it isn't included. Also for thoose who remember Devil May Cry 3 then there is nowhere near the amount of unlockables here.

All in all this game is brilliant and I loved it, I would recomend to any fan of the Hack & Slash genre and too any looking for some all action Fun

Gameplay: 10/10
Graphics: 10/10
Story: 8/10
Unlockables: 5/10
Replay: 6/10
Overall: 8/10

What is DMC all about? I have never played any of the games.
In the new Devil May Cry 4, I wonder why Nero the new character is receiving negative feedbacks. I think every character deserves a chance to prove his capability. Maybe it is just because of getting used to the older characters but of course we should also understand the in every new version a new character must always be introduced. Whether you hate nero or love nero, one thing is for sure you can’t remove him from DMC anymore.
