I want to buy a dvd writer and I have a two options LG and Samsung which one should I buy for long run?

I've never had a very high opinion of LG products.

Will this be for a computer? Internal or external drive? In general Samsung has been a major manufacturer of electronics for a longer time, and there products do tend to get the highest ratings. Not to say LifesGood isn't releasing good products... Where do you plan on buying the "dvd writer"?

I love my LG DVD-RAM. I haven't used a Samsung so I don't know how they compare.
