Have any of you ever used the Google pack? It's just a compilation of software Google 'selects'.

My question is: Why do they include Google Chrome AND Mozilla FireFox in the same package? Why would they include a competitor's product in their own software package alongside their own browser? I know the FireFox has the Google Toolbar, but it still makes no sense to me.
I guess they decided to through all their popular programs in one basket. microsoft did the same thing. They had FF as part of that before chrome existed. I've never thought it odd that they have both--that just never hit me. The only thing google related that I have installed is google talk.
I have Google Talk, the Quick Search Box, the IE Google Toolbar, and Chrome.
Good for you.Big Grin
I also downloaded the sidebar last night, but it was too much of a resource hog, as I thought it would be.

What are you talking about?
I downloaded Google Desktop to see how their sidebar would work.
I don't like google desktop. I don't need it cause I got search add in for windows sidebar. Google desktop does use alot of ram and likes to index your files. That can be stopped though.
