First off i was wondering if anyone uses Chrome on the forums.. I think i have seen Wenger's post having the Chrome icon in them. I actually have been using over firefox for a while now.

Also have any of you looked into Chrome OS? One of my teachers actually had an image to use in virtual box that allowed me to try it out. Its basically and OS that opens directly into chrome, allowing you to use different apps like Docs and Gmail. The image was kind of laggy that i used, but i think it is a very interesting concept..
I've used chrome but I wasn't impressed with it. I suppose that I'm a die hard FF fan.
Yea.. I personally am a big firefox fan too. I just like trying new stuff and was fairly impressed with chrome. I would be willing to use either one really.
I use Chrome almost exclusively. I use FF for a game I play because it has an add-on that makes the game easier.

I have never used Chrome OS, but I would really like to.
I have Chrome on my Linux Laptop, but not this PC. It's slick, I like that I have my most recent sites staring me in the face when I'm signed onto the web.
Chrome or Chrome OS?
Chrome the Browser. I wouldn't have an OS on my OS Smile

Actually I wasn't aware the the OS was ready for download...
But you could have a dual boot.

I MIGHT try Chrome os on a virtual machine but I have no desire to put it on a real computer.
Tried Chrome browser, and wasn't too impressed. Maybe I didn't look into it's features enough? I still have it installed, but never used.

It actually isnt, but you can have it running in a virtual box. like i said it is sorta laggy but take into account i was using this at my school.. so yea.

also my teacher showed me today that you can also run android in virtual box, for testing it out.. pretty cool idea, even tho its off topic Tongue

From my experience, the only thing "virtual" in a virtual box is the hardware. The OS is still "installed", or booted from an image.

Can you provide a link to Google's Documentation, or information on the status of their OS? I'm really interested to look into this.

maybe that will help..?
So it has to be compiled in Linux. It isn't available as a stand alone installation yet?[Image: smack.gif]
Not the last time I checked. I think they should have made it available very soon after they started to build hype around it. And by available I mean no compiling.
Only more advanced members are going to know how to do that. Because of that it should be made available.
