How exactly dose that work, I noticed that I was able to highlight a star on a particular thread, is that only viewable by the user that rates it or is it viewable by everyone. and then I saw a thread that was already rated. so it made me think that it was automatic as well unless you or someone else made the rating.

The rating system is an average of all the votes on a topic. It came built into MyBB, but I had to change the image path for the stars in order for them to display correctly.

It would be cool if you could figure out a way to use little emoticons instead of star's to indicate the rating of a thread, like this one could indicate a thread thats dead or dieing or maybe one thats closed.

That would require more coding, and I don't want to mess with the system that's currently functioning properly.
