Right now there is a massive forest fire burning in Arizona. Supposedly the worst the state has experienced. Here in New Mexico we have been literally smoked out... The sky looks as if there's full cloud coverage. At night the street lights really show the amount of smoke! Have a few photographs on my phone. Try to upload those later... Confused

Yesterday I was cruising back to my girls place, and she happened to notice the sun... We could look directly at the sun and it was bright orange/red. Almost like looking at a laser. I missed the moon, but apparently it was red as well. Anyone hear of this yet? The sun (during end of the day) and moon were red because of the smoke. Looks like this evening will be the same. Undecided
Strange. I haven't been involved in a forest fire so I wouldn't know. I hope that it doesn't get too bad for you.Undecided
It's already bad enough... You can smell the smoke, see it everywhere, and for the past two days seems to be as thick.

That looks pretty bad. I remember when there was a small fire in North Carolina (I think?) that we got smoked up pretty bad but that wasn't even a big fire.

The smoke follows a jet stream that flows right through the center of New Mexico including the three largest cities Rio Rancho, Albuquerque, and Santa Fe. On the news they were saying the fire is likely to spread into New Mexico. As of now the smoke is spread across multiple states. Look at the attached photographs. Apparently New Mexico is once of the worst states to be in right now... Sad
Today was smoke free for the most part. Around 7pm I watched as a endless thick cloud of smoke rolled in. At one point the sun was completely blocked by the smoke for around 10 minutes. I'm outside walking right now. Smoke is thick enough that my eyes burn, throat and mouth dried out, slight headache, and I smell nothing but smoke...
And tonight I looked at a blood red moon faded into darkness by the smoke... Attached is a photograph of the sun before smoke completely blocked it... Sad
Creepy.Sad Are you going to have to evacuate?Huh
It's looking like a possibility. I'm thinking about volunteering for zone control of this fire... Put it this way. Things are not looking good here in New Mexico. The major fire is zero percent contained... Also, this red sun and moon is not good from a religious stand point... Didn't the "rapture" just supposedly recently start? Sad
If that had anything to do with it then it'd probably be red everywhere.
You're probably right...
Not much smoke tonight thankfully... Smile
That's good. I hope it stays that way for you.
As do I.Smile
Actually I hope there's NO smoke, but you know what I mean. Tongue
