I've watched a lot of Anime over the past couple of years and have maintained a few favourites along the way. My two favourites always ended up being Dragonball Z and Naruto, I could never seem to find an Anime better.

I watched a lot of Anime, whether it was Romantic, Sci-Fi or Action there always seemed to be something missing. Plot or Character development always seemed to be lacking, but I did enjoy the Anime even though I always felt robbed at the end.

Dragonball Z was one of the Anime's that done so many things right but the most important things wrong, It's excuse was the fact that it's now 25 years old but that doesn't pass with me. So what did Dragonball Z get right?, well the action was one of the main plus points and they done this amazingly well. Drawing you into a fight the hero against the villain and the big climax was all done really well. Another plus was the drawings, fluid and smooth and a slight twist that was different than mainstream Anime at the time. What did they do wrong?, well there was almost no character development through the entire series which spanned over 290 episodes. Plot was almost nonexistent, a bad guy shall we say would appear then get defeated by the good guy then reset for the next sage. The same thing happened over and over again just a different more powerful villain but you can't help but watch. Something about Dragonball Z always pulled me in, the lightness of the story and the comedy factor always left me wanting more but I always felt there had to be something better didn't there?

Naruto was another one of my favourites and I consider to be far greater than Dragonball Z. Let's look at the good things about Naruto, well for a start unlike Dragonball Z the story was well thought out and had some amazing twists that always left you wondering what was next. The action was equal if not better than Dragonball Z with well thought out choreography and beautiful shot work. The art style was pleasant to the eye and sharp during action sequences, the drawings were very well done and matched the style very well. Now let’s look at what they did wrong, well they stretched the series to the point of wanting to pull your teeth out, with over an insane 400 episodes and still going, it just get incredibly tiresome. There is no character development whatsoever and this get's tedious and boring but it still makes you want to watch more and more.

Don't get me wrong, I can't get enough of Naruto and Dragonball Z. No matter how many times I watch either I always end up wanting more and I thought that this was all that anime had to offer, or was it? Walking into HMV one day with my brother I spotter a box set entitled "Deathnote", I had heard of it before but only briefly and didn't know what it was about. My brother picked it up and asked me if it was any good? I said it's probably rubbish, from past experience of buying anime impulsively that usually ends up being a bad mistake. I found myself in HMV a couple of days later and after searching all the shelves there was nothing of interest until I noticed Deathnote, it was just staring at me and screaming buy me but I resisted and continued to search. After another 30 or so minutes looking I gave up, I thought one more time and that's it. So I bought Deathnote.

Deathnote, what can I say about Deathnote? That I think it's the best Anime series of all time and nothing will ever come close? Yes I can say that and I will because it is. What does Deathnote do right?, well if I said everything would that be to unbelievable?. Maybe it would and I guess I’m using to many question marks? Deathnote has the best story line I have ever read or watched, it keeps you desperate for more and there are twist and turns coming at you from every direction, at the end of an episode you are guaranteed to be hanging off your seat. The artwork is the best I have ever seen, beautiful drawn with a sense of realism. everything down to the soundtrack by "Maximum the Hormone" and the start/ending credits are brilliant. The character development is outstanding and by the end you can’t possibly want more, Deathnote gives you everything you could dream of. Amazing story, artwork, character plot, soundtrack, credits and more. Deathnote also done another major thing right, they didn't stretch it. Deathnote spanned 52 episodes and this is the perfect amount for the series, making each and every episode packed full of story, character plot and lots of twist and turns. I can't speak highly enough of this Anime, I love it and would recommend it to anyone who would listen. Whether you like Anime or not "Deathnote" is the ultimate Anime!.

I'm sure alot of people here have played games and always will, but have you ever played a game that was amazing but then later on forgot what it was? Well I have and I really wish I could remember.

I've played alot of games and some of my favourites are Halo, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid, Burnout Etc, but a couple of years back I remember my Uncle Mark bought me a new PC game that was FPS (First Person Shooter).

I remember that you had a ship and it was your duty to maintain it and search other planets for life, all of a sudden you recieve word about these alien artifacts that you must find before the aliens do. One of the most iconic moments for me was a level in which you have to land to get the ship repaired but you recieve word that pirates are on the way and you have to protect the ship. So you grab whatever you can find laid out in this forest area which included, Automatic Turrets (Rockets, machine guns Etc.) and these barriers made of lasers you could put up anywhere. Then it was your duty to protect the ship.

I just think that we take games for granted, I have played hundreds of games and when I finish I just throw them away, but not alot of games have every made an immpresion on me apart from the above and thats why it's upsetting that I can't remember. To all of you game lovers out there, if you find a game you love? Then make sure you keep hold of it

Super Bowl Advertisements - The Good, the Bad, and the SCREAMING

Super Bowl XLIV was held today. I watched it and as usual, some commercials were good, some were bad, and some were ok. I found the local commercials to be no different from normal, but the network commercials were different. Here are my top picks for winner and loser ads:

Best - Hyundai:

I like Farve. He's my favorite player. When he picked fun at himself in that commercial, I cracked up. I also like the holographic football player on the trophy. My favorite part? He was the MPV at 50 years old.

Worst - Dennys:

You might not think that commercial is so bad. How about hearing it about 5 times during the Super Bowl and have those chickens screaming over and over and over? They were pretty much all the same too. How much clucking/screaming needs to be in their advertisements? Those commercials were the only reasons I ever thought about touching the mute button all game.

In my opinion, if I were going to spend that much money for about 5 advertisements in highly-competitive ad slots, I would spend some time thinking of a funny and informative ad like Hyundai did. I wouldn't just scream.
