I don't believe that the 360 has general internet capabilities but is restricted. I could be wrong though.

The only purpose for their internet connection is for the live game play over the net.

Well, not true. There's a lot more such as downloading programs, games, etc... There's online communities, and all. Just no internet browsing capabilities. Although there may be an application available for purchase that allows it, or custom programming to enable a browser.
