Not Solved Firefox Plugin Update Nag
"Suddenly" today I started getting a webpage nag to update plugins (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/). It launches that page as a second tab every other time that I start FF without fail.

Based upon research and experimentation I have made the following changes, most under "about:config":
1) plugins.update.notifyUser to false. It was already already false but I tried enabling and disabling it.
2) plugins.update.url to blank. Afterwords FF starting pulling up a blank page every other time.
3-4) plugins.hide_infobar_for_outdated_plugin & plugins.hide_infobar_for_missing_plugin to true. Neither helped.
5) privacy.popups.disable_from_plugins from 2 to both 3 & 0. No difference.
6) Updating flash which the webpage had in red.
7) Disabling add-on updates.

I have made no other recent changes to FF. I have never had firefox do this on any computer so by now I'm at a loss and really p!@#$%.Angry Any ideas?
